Charlotte M. Jackson, 80, of Cameron, NY passed into the arms of her savior on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
Charlotte was born in Jasper, NY on Sept. 6, 1941, the third daughter of the late Stephen G. Musto and Nina VanSkiver Musto. She graduated in 1959 from Jasper Central School.
In 1963 she married James E. Jackson who predeceased her in 2016. She took nursing classes at St. James Mercy Hospital and was a life-long caregiver for many families and friends.
Charlotte’s artistic ability was well known to all who received her hand drawn cards, sketches and paintings over the years depicting animals and Native American scenes. Her beautiful piano playing blessed many over the decades and will be missed by her church family.
She is survived by her son, James M. Jackson, two grandchildren, Victoria and Jimmy, great granddaughter, Faith, brother-in-law, Stacy K. Jackson and many nieces and nephews. She had many friends and acquaintances too numerous to mention and will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion.
Besides her husband Jim, Charlotte was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Dartt and Pauline Wielopolski.
Family and friends can gather for a time of visitation on Friday, August 19 from 3 to 5 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Her funeral service will follow there at 5 pm with her Pastor Morris Gridley Jr. officiating.
