Obituary of Theodore C. Morseman Sr.

Theodore C. “Teddy” Morseman Sr., 56, of Athens, PA, formerly of Rathbone, passed away at his home on Monday, August 29, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Corning on September 9, 1965, Teddy was the son of Russell and Vera Horton Morseman. He grew up in Rathbone and attended Addison Central School. Teddy had worked as a woodworker for Hartwood in Rathbone. He was an avid fan and participant in dirt stock car racing. He raced in the Woodhull Raceway Amateur class for 12 years. He seldom missed a Saturday night at Woodhull Raceway either as a driver or a fan. He loved auto mechanic work, which was a big factor in his love of racing. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Teddy’s greatest joy came in time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of his family and loved them dearly. Teddy is survived by his children, Ted Jr and Katrina Morseman of Cameron Mills, Alicia and Chad Every of Sayre, Danielle Thomas and Travis Southard of Jasper and William Morseman of Missouri, his long time partner, Ann Sherman, his grandchildren, Dylon, Bradly, Kayleigh, Logan, Brooklyn, Krista, Savannah, Courtney, Cadin, Onallee and Brynzlee, his parents, Russell and Vera Morseman of Rathbone, his siblings, Donna (Neil) Ferry of Citra, FL, Buddy (Pam) Morseman of Rathbone and Peggy VanZile Walters of Osceola and along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 2 from noon to 2 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Burial will follow in Northrup Hill Cemetery, Rathbone.
