Hazel E. Ribble, 81, of Cty. Rte. 100, Addison, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Corning Hospital after failing health. Born in Troupsburg, NY on November 16, 1941, Hazel was the daughter of the late John J. and Helen (Hopper) Renninger. She attended Woodhull High School. On August 20, 1959, Hazel and Ephraim H. Ribble were married in Jasper, NY. Ephraim survives. Hazel was a homemaker and stay at home Mom. She enjoyed playing cards, dice and crossword puzzles but her greatest pleasure and joy came from time with family, particularly her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Ephraim Ribble Sr. of Addison, her children, Roberta (Ivan) Hively of Bath, Robert (Connie) Ribble of Addison, Ephraim (Dawn) Ribble Jr. of Addison, Donald (Beverly) Ribble of Bethany, NY, John (Marcie) Ribble of Addison, Eric (Autumn) Ribble of Addison, Valerie (Gabriel) Ribble of Addison, Annie (Sam) Hollister of Addison, Billy Ribble of Dallas, PA and Christopher Ribble of Lindley, grandchildren, Derek (Brittany) Ribble, Cassandra Martin, Donald (Idabelle) Hatch Jr., George (Kristen) Hatch, Amber (Brandon) Groff, Jessica (Matt) Meyers, David (Kate) Ribble, Candy Lynn (Mark) Crawford, Donald Ribble Jr., Tyler (Morgan) Ribble, Brittany (Earl) Alexander, Alexis (Robert) Williams, Eric Ribble Jr., Shawn (Helen) Ribble, Nathan Ribble, Timothy (Candace) Smith, Keyone Smith, Sandra (Dustin) Ribble, Sharon (Dalton) Ribble, Michael (Arlinda) Race, Clorissa Ribble, Samuel Hollister Jr., Howard Hollister, Kayden Ribble and Brayden Ribble, sisters, Rose Calkins (Paul Powers) of Woodhull and Blanche (Gary) Kemp of Tioga, PA, many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren and brother-in-law, Kenny Ribble of Campbell. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Renninger and her sister, Marjorie Shumway. Friends may call on Thursday, December 29 from 4 to 7 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined. Memorial donations are suggested for the Addison Fire Dept., 1 Tuscarora St., Addison, NY 14801.
