Painted Post, NY - Beverly Symonds, 87, formerly of Imperial Ave. & later Creekside Dr., Painted Post, NY, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Absolut Care at Three Rivers, Painted Post, NY. Born in Troupsburg, NY, March 12, 1925, she was the daughter of Clifford E. & Ethel J. Scott Symonds. A graduate of Troupsburg Central School and Federal Commercial School of Hornell, she retired from Ingersoll Rand Company of Painted Post as Chief Inventory Clerk. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Painted Post, Painted Post Chapter OES, a member of the Ingersoll Rand Service Association, past President of Sally Rands, and had been a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Corning. She is survived by her niece, Marilyn Fletcher of Lyons, NY and several great nieces & nephews, along with many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Cook and niece, Sonja Blair. Friends may call Saturday, January 5, 2013, 1pm - 2:30pm, at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St., Woodhull, NY, where funeral & committal services will follow at 2:30pm. The Rev. Brian Diffenbacher will officiate. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.
