
Obituary of Roger Harrison White

Roger Harrison White, 84 years old, went to the Lord on December 18th, 2022. Roger was born in Blossburg PA to Delbert C. White and Helen M. (Hillyard) White.
Survived by Wife Mona (Dunn) White, Children: Tina (Jeff) Swan Lindley N.Y., Bettie White, Horseheads, N.Y. Roger (Pam) White, Jr. Addison N.Y., Chance White, Vero Beach Fl. , Katelyn (Ben) Vold, Vero Beach Fl. Siblings: Brother- Paul (Patty) White, Cameron N.Y. Sisters: Patricia Waring, Addison N.Y., Carolyn (Rick) Andrews, Woodhull N.Y. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Roger worked for Corning Inc. Weyerhaeuser and owned his own vacuum repair shop in N.Y. and upon relocation to Fl. He worked for Visiting Nurse Association for 9 years before he fully retired.
Those who knew Roger know that he had a passion for bass fishing and took his Scout boat out to the Miami Garcia Lake as much as he could, and he has the pictures to show it! Otherwise, he would travel back to N.Y. during deer season to hunt with his son Rog and his brother Paul.
Roger was taught at a young age by his dear aunt’s how to yodel and how to perfect the wave in his hair which he always had a comb in his pocket to make sure it was perfect.
Roger also loves to take care of his homes with updating, repairs, rebuilding and of course his lawns that he always wanted them to look the best, and he received numerous compliments that his lawn was the best on the street.
Roger also was known to work and basically rebuild cars such as his Barracuda and then Mona’s Mustang II, he also talked about his rebuilding a camper from inside to outside. Roger loved his family and friends, and we made the annual trip north each year to visit with all that he could fit in each year.
Roger is pre-deceased by his parents, Delbert, and Helen. Brothers: Dale, Glenn and Franklin, Sister: Anita Vanzile and grandson Ryan White.
A Celebration of life will be held at his home in Vero Beach Fl. January 22, 2023, 1-3 p.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for July 8th, 2023, at the Woodhull N.Y. Cemetery Chapel with interment at Elk Creek cemetery in Borden N.Y. with the immediate family.
