Obituary of Sheryl June Badeau

Sheryl June Badeau, 64, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma, aunt, and friend. Sheryl was born on February 4, 1959, in North Hornell, NY to Gerald and Sylvia Loghry. On June 20, 1981, Sheryl married Johnny, the love of her life, and would have celebrated 42 years of marriage. They resided in Bath, NY, and Murfreesboro, TN. Sheryl graduated from Haverling High School, Class of 1977, and Houghton College and Elmira College with degrees in education. She taught kindergarten in the Hornell school system for 32 years. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Johnny; sons, Ryan (Rebecca) and Nick (Katie); parents, Gerald and Sylvia Loghry; grandchildren, Emma and Tyler Badeau; sister, Denise (Jerry) Keeler; brother, Curt Loghry and countless other family and friends across the county. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. Sheryl was an incredibly strong and generous woman. She left a legacy to her family of God’s amazing love and was an example to all who knew her. We look forward to the day we will be reunited in heaven. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Buena Vista Wesleyan Church, 6034 County Route 69, Canisteo, NY 14823. Visitation at the church begins at 2 PM.
