Obituary of Andrea L. Everitt

Andrea L. Everitt, 79, of North Tonawanda N.Y. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Andrea, born in Hornell, N.Y on May 26, 1943 was the daughter of Lewis and Ruby (Sherman) Matson and raised in Troupsburg, N.Y. She was a member of the graduating class of Troupsburg Central School in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart, Clair E. Everitt on October 6, 1962 at the Troupsburg Methodist Church. A woman of many talents, her favorite was working with special needs children with the Rush Henrietta School District where she retired from the Leary School, Rush, NY in 2003. Many children benefited from her love and guidance. Andrea, like her mother loved spending time reading. Her passions included sewing, gardening, traveling to see her sister and spending time with her children,grandchildren and great grandchildren. Andrea is survived by her sister Janet (Matson) Neally of Schaumburg, IL, sister-in-law's Liz (Everitt) Sawyer of Woodhull, N.Y., Cynthia (Everitt) Cady of Troupsburg, N.Y, Sharon (Cady) Matson of Falconer, N.Y; her children: Lisa (Joel) Wright of North Tonawanda, N.Y., Dan (Carol Waters) Everitt of Woodhull, N.Y., Amy (Michael)King of Honeoye Falls, N.Y.; her grandchildren: Christopher (Rebecca) Wright, Kate (Brian) Huth, Joseph (Marissa) Wright, Jamie (Jessica) Krebs, Jacob (Emily) Krebs; great grandchildren: Veronica and Eleanor Wright, Avery and Charlie Huth, Kirsten, Devon, Lilah and Jackson Krebs, Everleigh and Scarlett Krebs and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Clair, Andrea was predeceased by her parents and her brother, R. Lynn Matson and sister-in-law, Deborah (Everitt) Clemens. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. @ H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, N.Y.
