Ann Marie Sherman, 59, of Athens, PA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Corning, NY on March 30, 1963, Ann was the daughter of the late Curtis and Joann (Knapp) Abbey. Raised in Woodhull, she was a graduate of Addison Central School. Ann was a homemaker and had made her home in Athens with her longtime companion, Theodore Morseman Sr. Ted preceded her in death on August 29, 2022. Ann had dealt with renal failure for many years. She was a dedicated and determined dialysis patient for 13 years. She was very fond of the kind staff at her dialysis center and looked forward to her time spent there. It became her second home. Ann loved her children and grandchildren dearly and savored her time with them. She and Ted were avid race fans and enjoyed spending time at Woodhull Raceway together. Surviving are her daughters, Joan Abbey (Jim Seeley) of Waverly and their children, Edward Barker and Nevaeh Wolcott and Amanda Abbey (John Pepper) of Elmira and their children, Kylie Pepper and Hunter Pepper, Ted’s children, Theodore (Katrina) Morseman Jr. of Cameron Mills and their children, Dylon, Bradly and Kayleigh, Alicia (Chad) Every of Sayre and their children, Logan, Brooklyn, Krista and Savannah, Danielle Thomas (Travis Southard) of Jasper and their children, Courtney, Cadin and Onalee and William Morseman of Missouri, her siblings, Tony Abbey, Peggy Abbey and Terry Abbey along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides Ted, Ann was predeceased by her parents, Joann and Curtis Abbey. The family will receive friends for a session of visitation on Sunday, March 5 from 4 to 6 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Ann will be laid to rest next to her parents in Woodhull Cemetery.
