Connie L. Colegrove, 73, of Troupsburg, NY, passed away at her winter home in Lancaster, South Carolina on April 15, 2023 following an illness. Born in Hornell, NY on April 24, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Basil G. and Ellen L. (Bonham) Ladd. Raised in the Rathbone area, she attended Addison Central School. In 1965, Connie married David Learn. They eventually made their home in Woodhull where they raised their family. David died suddenly on May 25, 1993. Connie had been a homemaker and stay at home mom and wife prior to David’s passing. She later held positions at Saxton Glass in Alfred, Fitzpatrick’s Farm in Whitesville and the Golden Age Cheese Factory in Woodhull. It was at the cheese plant that she met her future husband Steven Colegrove. On April 25, 2000, they were married in Troupsburg. Connie was very crafty and able to create or improvise to meet the various needs of her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Steven Colegrove of Troupsburg, her children and their spouses, David and Raine Learn and Danny and Lori Learn, all of Woodhull and Melissa and Ronald Campbell of Addison, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 step children, her siblings, Mary Flint of Hornell, Darlene (Robert) Dibble of Arkport and Scott Burrell of Nevada, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides Connie’s first husband David, she was predeceased by her son Ivan Learn on August 4, 2018 and her grandson, Jermey Learn on November 1, 2016. A Celebration of Life to honor Connie, will be held at a later time.
