Chris grew up in an Amish family and was the fourth of ten children. At a young age, they all learned how to work hard to help support the family. Despite being hard workers, the children (boys especially) still found time to have fun and get into mischief. Chris delighted in telling his children and grandchildren of the adventures he had growing up. As a young man, Chris spent 2 years completing his 1-W service. In 1967, Chris married Marlys (Penner) Wickey in Middleburg, Pennsylvania. They had five children. Chris was a talented carpenter and built four houses for his family over the years. He was also a skilled furniture maker and built many fine pieces including bookshelves, tables, cedar chests, rocking horses and more. His family was the beneficiary of some of these precious masterpieces. On December 16, 1984, Chris married Loella (Clark) Wickey who survives. Chris was very interested in natural health remedies. He received a bachelor of science in natural health from Clayton College of Natural Health as well as several herbal certificates. Chris loved children and was delighted in 1992 when his first grandchild was born and through the next 30 years as each one of his twelve grandchildren arrived. His legacy will live on in his grandchildren, Megan, Ethan, Dane, Nathaniel, Natalie, Esther, Alexis, Hannah, Valentina, Saralynn, Ezekiel, Susanna and in his 4 8/9 great-grandchildren. Above all else, Chris loved the Master Carpenter and spent many hours of his life studying the Word of God.
