Obituary of Walter L. O'Dell

Walter L. O'Dell, 72, of East William St., Bath, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, January 14, 2013. Born in Tioga, PA on March 18, 1940, Walt was the son of Viola M. O'Dell. He attended Woodhull High School. Following school he entered the US Army, serving from 1958 to 1961. Walt was a union mason, involved in numerous building projects in the area. He took great pride in his work and his union affiliation. Surviving is his daughter and son in law, Sharon and Douglas Stutzman of Jasper, his long time companion, Anna Mae Walter of Bath, 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and his step father, Chester Towsley of Woodhull. Walt was preceded in death by his son, Douglas O'Dell. Walt's funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 1:00 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Rev. Brian Diffenbacher will officiate. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery.
