I worked with Bill many years ago at Sullivan Park. We shared an office, and it was always nice to start the day with a friendly smile. Bill was kind and funny. I have many fond memories of him. He threw a Halloween party, and everyone dressed up for the costume contest. I remember pies were the prizes. It was a fun night.
I know Bill has touched the lives of people around the globe. He was respected and loved by so many. I have returned to Texas, but feel grateful to have known him. I will never forget him. Bill, you were one-of-a-kind, and you will be missed.
I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to the family. Sending you lots of hugs from Texas, Lora.

Seeing Bill's picture here in the Obituaries took me back to the JCS Boys Basketball games in the '80s.
Bill was an athlete who could play ball, with a smooth jumper. He was one of those kids I remember almost 40 years later.
My condolences to Bill's family.

It was with great sadness when I heard of Bills passing. My heart goes out to the entire family. I have no words other than he was an amazing, funny man and I will miss running into him at work or just on Market Street with his family. He could always make me laugh and will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace my good friend.

I worked with Bill at Sullivan park over the last five years. Bill was always upbeat, kind, and willing to help out. If you didn't know something, he was always quick to help you understand.
Bill - we will miss you!

Marie and Jim and Bills family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Bill was a friend of mine in high school and we played on the basketball team together. We would sometimes hang out on weekends and go to Corning to a local club there for teens. I will always have great memories of Bill. He was one of the good guys and definitely gone to soon.

My deepest condolences to Lora, Ben, Madalyn, and family. I am so sorry you are going through this. We are praying for you all.
I want to share some memories of Bill.
My first memory of Bill was at Sullivan Park in 1996, both in our 20's. We soon thereafter moved into an apartment together in South Corning for a time, since then his friendship has remained very valuable to me. We had similar jobs in fiber during the down turn and layoffs of 2001 and 2002 and then again later in the ceramic research group.
When Bobby Lyons passed away Bill was one of the very few people who visited him often and spent time with him right up to the very end. This was the first time really I noticed how great of a friend, how caring and how kind Bill was.
We would periodically go out to lunch at SP or Subway through the years. The last I spent time with him, this past fall, we sat and watched a high school football game in Odessa, then saw him again at Sparkle. I cherish that time now. Bill was the type of person I could tell anything, I trusted him deeply and could confide in him and share with him life's struggles and victories. He was always willing to help people and would do anything for people. Even if we didn't always agree on issues, he would respond with kindness and intelligent conversation. Looking back I do wish I had spent more time with him. And I was impressed with Bill as a father, Melanie did daycare for Ben and Madalyn when they were young. When they were young and older Bill was always so excited about and invested in every thing going on with his kids through the years.
I do look forward to seeing you on the other side, my friend.

You'll always be sorely missed Bill. You were a just a 7 year old little boy when I first met your Mom and Dad. You walked over and said "Hi"
I watched you and your siblings grow through the years. Your Dad never ceased to make me laugh. During the time I worked at the VA I would drive over and pick up your Mom as she worked there also. So many memories and now so much sadness.
In time the pain will lessen but it will always be there for all who knew and love you. Keep watch over your loved ones and let them know in those special ways that you will always be with them.
Rest in Peace Bill, you're work on earth is done.

Bill your passing took me by surprise as I'm sure it did everyone else. I will miss our long talks about Real Estate, automobiles and how to make things work better here at Sullivan Park. Work better they always did when you were involved. I Thank you for allowing me to be the special person to sell your parents home, to see your son's progress on the Church and sale. Hopefully I'll see that DeLorean rolling down the street with your son driving it holding onto his memories of you my friend. May you rest in peace and until we meet again keep things running like you always did.
