Obituary of Glenn H. Patterson

Glenn H. Patterson, 51, of Mill St., Woodhull, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born in Hornell, NY on September 17, 1971, Glenn was the son of Rodney W. and Patricia A. (English) Patterson. He was raised in Woodhull and was a 1990 graduate of Addison Central School. Glenn had a love for dairy farming, having been employed by several dairies in the area including Scanlon’s Dairy in Addison, Crooker’s Dairy in Addison, Dickson’s Dairy in Thurston, Palmer’s Dairy in Howard, Rodney Mullen Farm in Rexville and Waters’ Dairy in Troupsburg. He had also worked as a roofer, most recently working for Hale Roofing. Glenn was a life member of the Woodhull Fire Department, joining as an active member in 1991. Surviving Glenn is his mother, Patsy Patterson of Woodhull, his brother, Rodney Patterson Jr. (Heather Fitzwater) of Woodhull, his nieces and nephews, Mykallin Snow, Myranda Mays, Rodney James “RJ” Patterson, Joey (Taiane Lira) Mattison and Josh Mattison, 5 great nieces and nephews, his aunts and uncles, Marguerite Taft, Mary Bruce, Marty Bruce and Butch Williams and many cousins. Glenn was preceded in death by his father Rodney Patterson on July 8, 2010, his brother, Thomas Patterson on April 19, 2005, his cousin, Billy English and his aunts and uncles, Thomas English, Mary Jane Williams, Louie English, Kenny Bill English, Floyd Taft and Linda English. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 9 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Thursday at 11 am with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will follow in Woodhull Cemetery.
