Obituary of Richard A. Reutenauer

HORNELL: Richard A. Reutenauer, 63, of Madison Ave. passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, October 8, 2023 after an extended illness. Reutenauer was born on September 23, 1960 in New Brunswick, NJ to Arthur Fortier and Helen Chase Reutenauer. Richard was an artist and a creator. He loved to build things, and work with his hands. Some of his favorite things to create where guitars and Harleys, but with his rare talent he was able to make anything. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and loved him. "We miss you pop". Survivors include his companion of 30 years Laurie O’Konski of Hornell, his daughter Heather Brown and her children Cameran and Aiden Brown, Laurie’s sons, Michael (Nikki) McDaniel and their children Sabrina, Dwayne, Felicity and Brianna McDaniel, Brent (Nicole) O’Konski and their children Karter and Kyly O’Konski all of Hornell, and Derrick (Myah) O’Konski of CA. Richard is also survived by two sisters, Cindy Case and Stacey Venn and a brother Joe Fortier. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in care of H.P.
