Obituary of Nancy E. Moore

Nancy E. Moore, 81, of Addison, NY, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in company of loving family. The daughter of Helen Beckhorn, Nancy was born on May 1, 1942 in Blossburg, PA. She was raised by her grandparents, Creed and Bessie Beckhorn in Knoxville, PA. Nancy attended the St. James School of Nursing in Hornell where she became a registered nurse. She remained at St. James Hospital for a time working as a nurse. She eventually moved to West Virginia where she attended Salem-Ceikyo University and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She worked at the Pococaligo Nursing Home and various hospitals in West Virginia before becoming employed at Meadow View Manor in Clarksburg for 17 years, rising to the role of Director of Nursing. She returned to New York and worked a short time at Corning Hospital prior to her retirement. Nancy attended the Full Gospel Church in Catlin. Surviving are her children, William Moore of Addison, Jeffrey Moore of Addison and Robert (Cristina) Moore Jr. of Concord, NC, 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her siblings, Deborah Musto of Florida, Viola Scozzari, Rebecca Scozzari of Woodhull and Linda Dailey of Addison, along with several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Moore and her former husband, Robert Moore Sr. A Celebration of Life to honor Nancy will be held at a later date.
