Charlie was part of my "growing up" in Woodhull when I visited my Carpenter cousins, Norman and David Carpenter so many times a year. Charlie always visited and was so much fun, and I always looked forward to the fun I knew he would bring. On my last visit about 3 years ago I was privileged to spend time with him reminiscing about those times and to read hid brother's book about when he was a teacher. I remember laughing about his way of telling us of the socks he got for Christmas from his pupils. Charlie brought fun to my life, and that will be my memory .Connie Olin Sillaman
