Kathy A. Suk, 72, of Cty. Rte 31, Canisteo, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. James Hospital in Hornell.
Born in Hornell on June 7, 1951, Kathy was the daughter of the late Robert R. and Joyce (Lawson) Morton. She was raised in Woodhull and was a member of the last graduating class of the former Woodhull High School in 1968.
Kathy had a lifelong career in health care. She was employed at one time at St. James Hospital but eventually worked as a home health care aide for 38 years, retiring from Home & Health Care in Hornell. She was a member of the Canisteo American Legion Auxiliary.
Kathy is survived by her husband Timothy Suk whom she married on April 1, 2006. Also surviving are her son, Russell “Rusty” Lute (Beth), of Greenwood, her daughter, Sandra Mann (Chuck) of Greenwood, her step children, Trevor Suk of Freeville, NY and Emily Martez of North Carolina, her grandchildren, Scott Lute, Michael Lute, Derrick Mann (Katelyn) and RayAnn Mann (Chad), her great granddaughter, Aubrey Mann, her step grandchildren, Ryan Mann, Emily Martin and Jonathon Martin, and her sister, Marcia Fitch of Rochester, her half-brother, Jason Morton of New Jersey and her step sisters, Kathy Hann of New Jersey and Kerry (Doug) Croce of Jasper.
Following Kathy’s wishes, there will be no public services.
Arrangements are in care of the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
