David A Tracy was born September 14, 1948 to Asel and Ella Tracy. He passed away peacefully at home with loved ones on March 14, 2024.
He was a 1966 graduate of Greenwood Central school and served in the United States Marine Corp from 1966-1969.
David enjoyed playing games and spending time with friends and family. He was an avid hunter, pool player, horseshoe thrower, and sports fan. David was a member of the Greenwood American Legion, the Greenwood Masonic Lodge, and involved in sports programs including a weekly horseshoe league at his home for many years, the Greenwood Pool League, Hornell Horseshoe league, and he pitched in several State, National, and World Horseshoe Tournaments.
He is survived by his daughter Samantha Mullen (Zachariah Cramer), his grandchildren Sage Tracy, Taven Tracy, Sophia Mullen, Asel Mullen, and Jade Mullen. His brother Clair (Gloria) Tracy, his brothers and sisters in-law Alan Allen (Joanne Ordiway), Michael Allen (Juanita), Waneta (Steve) , Susanne (Steve) Turner, Ethan (Patty) Allen, Paula (Larry) Keeney, Butch Allen(Lorraine McNeill) , David (Sharon) Allen, Jeannette Stock, Erwin (Elaine) Allen, and many many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Elaine (Allen), and his brother Jim (Marvanne) Tracy.
David will be remembered for his stories, jokes, and witty sayings. He always enjoyed life and said every white hair on his head was a good time he had!
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home May 25th, Memorial Weekend.
A Memorial Garden for David and his late wife Elaine will be cultivated at their home of over 40 years. Gifts of perennial bulbs and plants for this garden would be greatly appreciated by the family.
