Carrie Jean was always a delight to see her smiling face at the Addison Methodist Church on Sunday mornings and at their famous Turkey dinners. I enjoyed visiting with her through the years. She will be missed. My sympathy to the Dinniny family. Mary Bielski

There were many families intertwined with the Dininny families. Mine was one of them. My Mother's Stepsister Frances Blatchley was married to Roland "Rolly" Dininny, a brother of Zeke Dininny. There were countless family gatherings whether through Church, School, Friendships, Holidays, Birthdays and it went on. The two main persons centered in all of these were CJ and Zeke. Of course, there friendships with their children, but my parents, Donald A. and Marian E. White enjoyed their friendship with the Dininny's. Not often, but sometines, there are people in a community, such as, Addison, NY, that standout as leaders, friends of the community through their business, church, school, and in many ways, donating their time, resources, energy, and love to all they touch. That was CJ and her husband Zeke. All the best to her family and Condolences, Ron White and the White families.

May 29th. 2024. Wow, I was thinking about Carrie Jean this morning. I thought of the Christmas card I sent for Zeke's 100th Christmas, and I imagined Carrie Jean maybe helping him to open the cards. Maybe I just knew? I've lived away from Addison for 53 years now, and had only seen them once in a while on holidays and at funerals since I moved to Potsdam for college, "met a guy", and stayed put all this time. But I remember Carrie Jean and Zeke so well, mostly from church, but also from the dairy (Zeke would show up before I was awake and leave four quarts of milk in the insulated box on our porch). I remember the church suppers, the choir (I played the organ for the last three years of high school. That I could do that at all was because of Fran Dininny, who gave me piano lessons from the time I was able to walk down the street to her apartment by myself. All the Dininnys were lovely human beings, and I feel fortunate that they graced my childhood in so many ways. Joanne, Carolyn, Karen, Ruth and John -- I'm so sorry that you've lost your beautiful mother. But I think you'll find that she will really never be lost to you...she'll live on in each of you and in your kids. I'll be thinking of you all during this next difficult time, remembering how special she was... right along with you. Karen Butler Easter

I have always loved Zeke and Carrie Jean. To me they were a model couple. Always happy and always willing to lend an ear. After Carrie Jean broke her hip I had the honor of helping her and Zeke. Never a cross word or finding fault. They were the nicest people I ever worked for. I want to thank the family for giving me the honor of helping them.
