Obituary of Linda M. Robinson

Linda M. Robinson, 66, of County Route 70A, Avoca, entered into rest on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira following a brief illness. Linda was born in Corning on July 9, 1945, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Robinson Taylor. She was raised in Bradford, NY and attended Campbell Central School. She later obtained her GED and attended Beauty School in Elmira where she became a licensed beautician. She operated her own salon in Bath called the Family Hair Care Center for several years. She later became employed by the New York State DDSO, retiring from there following a job assignment in Rochester. She also employed at the Bath VA Medical Center where she would barber patients in the facility. Linda was a great horse lover and at one time competed in area rodeos on her horse "Diablo". She was a former member of the Bath VFW Post and the Bath Fire Department Firettes. Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Kim and Bradley Herrington and Tina Johnson-Herrington and Corey Herrington, all of Woodhull, her grandsons, Corey Herrington Jr., Kodie Herrington and James Herrington, all of Woodhull, her brother. Lauren (JoAnn) Taylor of Cameron Mills, her mother, Mary Flick of Penn Yan along with other brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 1 to 4 PM at the Bath VFW, St. Rte. 54, in Bath. Memorials in Linda's name may be made to the Bath Fire Department, 50 E.
