Bobbi Ruth Brooks Crane, 67, of Corning, passed away at her home on Friday, August 30, 2024 in the presence of her loving family following a valiant battle with cancer.
Bobbi was born in Corning on December 20, 1956, the daughter of Robert and Mary E. Cronk Brooks. Raised in Addison, she was a 1975 graduate of Addison Central School.
While attending high school, Bobbi studied cosmetology at BOCES and became a licensed beautician, operating her own shop in Addison for several years. She also was employed as a cook at area restaurants, including Martha’s Diner in Addison which was operated by her parents as well as the Hitching Post Diner, the Old Grove Diner and the Silver Top Restaurant.
She loved time spent with family and friends, particularly preparing and sharing holiday meals. She enjoyed bicycle riding, searching for treasures at area thrift stores and time at regional casinos and bingo halls.
Bobbi is survived by her children, Stacie Miller (Jeff Bacon) of Addison, Michael Crane of Corning and Kevin Crane (Raquel Yeaples) of Bath, her grandchildren, Mark Miller II, MariEmily Miller, Andrea Miller, Nichole Crane, Amber Crane, Rachael Crane, Maya Crane, Drew Crane, Jillian Crane and Timothy Chase, her great grandchildren, Ryien Miller and Jaedalyn Miller, very special friends, Robert Bavisotto, Jessica Forsythe, Mary Grist and Kyle Bickle along with many nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved pets, Rocky and Diesel.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary Brooks, her brother, Jeff Brooks and her son-in-law, Mark Miller..
A celebration of life and time of remembrance for Bobbi will held at a time and place to be announced by her family.
The family is being assisted by the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
The family requests that any memorial donations be directed to the funeral home to assist with service expenses.
