What can I say about Stan and his family. Over 50 years ago, the Murray’s welcomed me into the family with open arms, support and the love of their entire family when I was stationed with Stan in Maine. We have remained friends over the years even though our paths traveled in different directions as we did not live close to each other. I last spoke to Stan on July 30th to check in on his health status. He was his usual positive self, and we exchanged pleasantries and best wishes. We both, as aways, expressed our love for each other as he considered me his adopted little brother and I considered him my adopted big brother. I will miss Stan but know that Heaven has again received another angel. Rest in Peace Stan.....

Ometta and Stanley have always had a special place in my heart. I’ve known Stanley for most of my life. I remember going with Ometta in her red Ford to the Clark service station in Kirksville Mo. He worked there part time along with being in the military. They were just starting to date….. and we would go visit him. He was always so kind giving me treats. Hey why not be good to the kid and make extra points with his new girlfriend!!! It worked!!!

I was honored to stand up with Stan and Ometta when they were married. Ometta and I were friends and had a great girls trip to Florida before Stan was in the picture. I am so sorry for your loss and thankful that Stan is united with the love of his life. Respectfully, Betty Byrn Thomas
