Pamela “Pam” Jean Krise, 72, of Addison, passed away on Friday evening, September 6, 2024 at UPMC Wellsboro in Wellsboro, Pa. Born in Wellsboro on October 6, 1951, Pam was the daughter of the late Edwin M. and Marian L. Owlett Mills. She was a 1969 graduate of Haverling High School in Bath. She was affectionately known as Nana by family and friends. Pam had a career with the Bath VA Medical Center of over 28 years where she was employed as an admissions clerk at the VA Hospital. She also held that position in a part time capacity several times over the years. Pam was an energetic, hard working woman who was a huge part of the area racing community. She was a talented seamstress and she had a great love and gift for quilting and crafts. Pam enjoyed time with her sewing group as well as being an avid reader. She had been a league bowler in the Bath Bowling League. Pam enjoyed times spent with her family and friends, be it traveling, family gatherings, racing events or as a volunteer in various community groups. She was an election worker for the Town of Rathbone and also volunteered for the Rathbone food pantry program. She had been a census worker and was a member of the Lions Club and the Savona Rod & Gun Club. Pam was a talented singer and loved to share her amazing voice. She loved a game of cards and often carried a ruler at the ready to use on anyone she felt needed a little discipline. Pam had a wonderful sense of humor. Pam is survived by her husband Stanley Krise who she married on October 28, 2000 in Kanona, her children, Tammy L. Mills of Friendship, NY and Richard C. (Lindsay) Loucks III of Painted Post, her step daughter, Shannon (Larry) Murray of Hornell, her grandchildren, Christopher Mills-Pangburn, Cody (Margret) Pangburn, Rikkel Loucks, Richard Loucks, Ryann (Curtis) Kirkum and Sawyer Lyon, her great grandchildren, Bentley Kirkum, Mercedes Kirkum, Harper Loucks, Kolby Mills and Abiageal Pangburn, her siblings, Dennis (Nancy) Mills, Martin (Diane) Mills, Kathie Evans, Edwin (Cathy) Mills, Judy Thompson and Sheila (Bob) Nowak, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Mills in 2012 and her mother, Marian Mills in 2002, brothers-in-law, Edward Evans and Bob Thompson and son-in-law, Dennis E. Pangburn in 2023. A Celebration of a life well lived in honor of Pam will be held at the family residence, 11108 Cty. Rte. 119, Addison, on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 1 pm on. Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
