HARTSVILLE/NEW BERLIN: Louise (Buck) Kelsey, 88, formerly of Call Hill, went home to Heaven Wednesday (March 20, 2013) from her home in New Berlin, N.Y. Louise was born April 7, 1924 in Hartsville, to Floyd and Nellie (Besse) Sills. For many years she was a resident and companion to her cousin Lester Carney of Call Hill. After his passing she moved to New Berlin in 2003 to be closer to her son. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Edmeston, N.Y. where her son, Rev. Don Buck, had been pastor. Survivors include her son, Rev. Don Buck of South New Berlin, a daughter, Sherry (Steven) Green of Elmira Heights, 8 grand children and several great grand children. Louise was predeceased by her parents, a daughter Sonia Freeman, step -mother, Nina Sills, two infant sisters, three brothers, Leslie, Leo, and Lyle Sills. The family will receive friends from Noon-2 PM Saturday, at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St, in Canisteo. A graveside service will take place immediately following calling hrs. at 2 PM in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo. Online condolences and memories may be made through hpsmithandsonfuneralhome.com.
