My thoughts and prayers go to Steve and family. My family has longstanding ties with Watson. My mother, Mary McAndrew Ludden, also grew up in Rexville and graduated from Greenwood. Many years later, their paths crossed again at Karl Medical Group. My mother and aunt Mary Ludden spoke fondly of Watson during those years. Mary referred to them as “Watson and his women”. Hope they are all sharing some laughs again and at peace.

Sending strong heartfelt condolences to family and friends of Watson Walden! Was deeply honored to be a friend of the family (previously knew Alayne and Josh very well). It was really neat to read through the full, rich, and amazing life that Watson lived! Watson and Alayne welcomed me to live in their generously affordable garage studio/efficiency next to their house in Falmouth back in the mid 1990’s during late high school/early college years. They were the perfect mixture of renters, friends, and engaging, and genuinely caring parental figures. Watson was a curious and genuinely interested person and we had GREAT conversations. Watson and I had might have had some divergent political perspectives yet he had an uncanny ability to leave me feeling like I was heard and like he was on my side in the bigger picture of things. He told great, funny and poignant stories and anecdotes relating to whatever the topic. He had this calm, humorous, comforting, and paternal presence packed with wisdom and experience that could put anyone at ease and make them feel welcome. Great wonderful human being all around that whose memory will live on through so many that knew him! Again huge condolences to family and friends!

I will forever hold Watson in my heart. He was a true gentleman, always with kind words or something funny to say. I will miss our chats out in the yard or sitting on the deck. The help we would offer each other wasn't just being neighborly, we were friends. I respected him immensely, and appreciated all of his advice. He lived life to the fullest, never wasting a day. I am so blessed to have known him, and will keep tabs on 72 Sawyer for the both of us now. Until we meet again, my friend ❤️☘️ Maggie
