Laura L. Symonds, 96, of Orchard Park, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Fox Run Nursing Facility in Orchard Park.
Born in Woodhull, NY on September 14, 1928, she was the daughter of W. Larue and Louise (House) Symonds. Raised in Woodhull, Laura was a graduate of Woodhull High School. Following high school she attended Alfred State College for a year and later earned an associate’s degree from Morrisville State College.
Laura resided in the Buffalo area most of her adult life. She retired from the Clarence, NY Central School District where she was employed as the food service manager there.
Surviving Laura are several cousins and dear friends including her close cousin, Joe (Mary) Kilmer of West Seneca, NY.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 15 at 11 am at the Woodhull Cemetery Chapel, 5404 St. Rte 417, Woodhull, NY. Burial will follow in Woodhull Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
