Roy P. Bacon passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the age of 76.
Roy was a Navy veteran, hard working honorable family man who loved the outdoors and racing with his grandkids. He was employed at HES Incorporated for 50 years. He was the best journeyman machinist I have ever known.
Roy is survived by his wife Deborah K Bacon, son Brett Bacon and wife Tara, grandchildren, Tyler Mack (Emily) and Jordan Bacon (Aiyana), brothers Phil Bacon (Joanie), Ron Bacon (Wanda) and Richard Bacon (Donna). sister, Elaine Bacon, extended family and in-laws John Crane, Paula Spencer, Judy McCarrick, Sheila Thompson (Jack), James Spotts (Danielle), great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mildred Bacon, Norma B. Crane, brothers, Charles Bacon, Larry Bacon, William Bacon, James Bacon, brothers-in-law Gordon McCarrick, Chuck Woughter and Leslie Woughter, nephew John McCarrick and niece Lora Spencer.
There will be no public services at this time.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
