Ellen M. Cary, 68, of William St. Addison, passed away very suddenly on Thursday morning, April 4, 2013 at Corning Hospital. Born in Corning, Ellen was the daughter of Laverne and Margaret Aumick Wilson. A long time Corning Inc. employee, Ellen worked in several positions within the company and finished her career there as a polisher in Steuben Glass. She was married to Ronald "Jack" Cary who preceded her in death in January 1989. Ellen and Jack were involved in many social activities including being long time members of the Twin Rivers CB Club, the Addison Eagles Aerie and enjoyed league bowling. She was also an avid Bingo player, enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and was a talented crotchetier, always making crocheted items for her family and friends. Besides her husband Jack, Ellen was predeceased by her brother John Wilson. Surviving are her sons, Tracy Fredericks Sr. of Addison and Terry (Laura) Fredericks of Syracuse, her daughter, Robin Fredericks (Don Strope) of Addison, her grandchildren, Christina Martinson, Tracy Fredericks Jr., Dylan Benjamin, Corey Strope, Caili Strope, Dakota Strope, Zachary Fredericks, Jayden Fredericks, Hannah Fredericks and Hailey Fredericks, 5 great grandchildren, her brothers, James Wilson of Campbell, Rick (Sandy) Wilson of Lindley and Ernest (Mary) Wilson of Addison, her sister, Patricia McMillan of Muskogee, OK and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Sunday, April 7 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be conducted there on Monday at 11 AM with Rev, Michael Cook officiating. Burial will be in Baxter Cemetery, Town of Tuscarora.
