Joyce A. Guild, 73, of Hornell Garden, Hornell, formerly of Addison, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Rochester General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Cameron, NY on December 26, 1939, Joyce was the daughter of the late Donald and Grace Young Stanford. She was a graduate of Jasper Central School. Joyce was a very loving mother and grandmother and had at one time provided elder care in the homes of many people in the area. Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Stanford. Surviving are her children, Joy (Paul) Heckman of Woodhull, Larry (Carolyn) Guild of Woodhull and Terry Guild (Keron Anderson) of Almond, her grandchildren, Danielle (Logan) Keenan, Christopher (Jessica) Guild, Michelle Guild, Bryan Guild, Alyson Windnagle, Logan Windnagle, Cheryle Guild and Katlyn Guild, great grandchildren, Nathan Keenan and Sophia Guild, her brothers, Donald Stanford of Jasper, Dick (Dru) Stanford of Georgia, Robert (Betty) Stanford of Canisteo and Jim (Dora) Stanford of Jasper along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Sunday, April 28 from 3-5 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow at 5 PM with Rev. Daniel Knopf officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be sent to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
