Kathryn N. Wright, 86, of Cleveland Drive, Addison, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Corning Hospital. Kathryn was born in Osceola, Pa. on September 24, 1925, the daughter of Morgan and Fannie Beard Burdick. Growing up, she attended schools in Whitesville, Greenwood and Jasper. On May 9, 1942, she and Charles L. Wright were married in Addison. Chuck preceded her in death on December 9, 1997. Kathryn was a lifelong homemaker and loved her job as loving Wife, Mom and Nana. She was a former member of the Addison Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and solving word find puzzles. She also was a great lover of old time Western TV shows and always followed family members engaged in local racing events. Besides her husband Chuck, Kathryn was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Cunningham on March 4, 2008, her son in law, Robert English and her brothers, Morgan "June" Burdick, Chester "Late" Burdick and Curtis "Curt" Burdick. Surviving are her sons, Charles (Sandy) Wright and Michael Wright of Addison, her daughters, Betty (Tom) Smith of Painted Post and Joyce (Brian) Hargrave of Addison, her son in law, Kenneth Cunningham of Dillsburg, Pa., 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, her dear friend Alice Weale of Addison, her sisters in law, Margaret Burdick of Bath and Louise Wright of Tavares, Fl and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull. Funeral services will be conducted at the conclusion of visitation at 2:00 PM with Rev. Scott Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Addison Rural Cemetery.
