Obituary of Lucinda Mae and Thomas N. Elliott

Addison - Lucinda Mae Elliott, 78 and Thomas N. Elliott Sr, 80, of John Rial Road, Addison, died tragically at home on Monday morning, May 6, 2013 from injuries sustained in a fire at their home. Cindy was born in Corning, NY on June 19, 1934, the daughter of Richard and Gladys Teets Reynolds and Tom was born the son of Leon and Lillian Arnold Elliott on September 26, 1932 in Cameron Mills, NY. Cindy and Tom were married on September 29, 1951 in Monterey, NY. Cindy was employed as a nurse's aide at the VA Medical Center in Bath for 26 years and Tom was a master welder, working for Hunkerford Metal Fabrication Co. in Big Flats for 45 years. They loved to camp with their family and were long time members of the Twin Rivers CB Club in Addison. Their family was their life and they both truly adored their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cindy enjoyed reading romantic historical novels, completing puzzles and loved craft work, especially crocheting. Tom was an avid hunter and was a life member of the Hollow Hunting Club in Campbell. He also loved to treat his grandchildren to his special blueberry pancakes. They were both dearly loved by their large family and will be missed terribly by family and friends. Surviving are their children and spouses, Thomas and Deborah Elliott Jr. of Addison, Richard and Bonnie Elliott of Richmond, VA, Mae Elliott (Daryn Cheney) of Addison, Paul Edward (Kathy) Elliott of Thurston, Timothy (Rose) Elliott of Campbell, Beth (Leon) Shaut of Addison, Tina (Walter Scott) Norman of Hopewell, VA, Sally (Tom) Lechner of Rathbone and Teresa Orr of Addison, 28 grandchildren, 60 plus great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Cindy is also survived by her sisters, Roberta Kirk of Addison, Joanne (Ted) Harrison of Hornby, Nancy Osatchuck of Cherryville, NC, Helen Share of Rochester and Susan (Nevin) Womelsdorf of Addison. They were preceded in death by their granddaughter, Lucinda Rose Elliott and Tom's siblings, Earl, Perry, Charles, Theodore and Walter Elliott and Virginia Carson, Louisa Towner and Tilley Hadley. Friends may call on Saturday, May 11 from 6-9 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Their funeral services will follow there at 9 PM. Burial will be in Goodsell Cemetery, Hornby, NY. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
