Mary E. VanTreese, 94, of Burr Hollow Road, Campbell, formerly of Woodhull, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Absolut Care @ Three Rivers in Painted Post. Born in Varick, NY on March 11, 1919, Mary was the daughter of William and Clarabelle Updyke VanTreese. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Richard & Susan VanTreese of Campbell, with whom Mary had made her home the last few years, Joan Gee of Addison, Joyce & Bob Gardner of Woodhull and John & Liz VanTreese of Addison, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, her half sister, Doris Krise of Candor, NY, her half brothers, Ephriam Ribble and Kenneth Ribble, both of Addison and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her canine buddy, "Peanuts". Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold VanTreese, Elmer VanTreese, Floyd VanTreese and Alvin VanTreese, her sister, Edna Wood and her half brothers, Andrew J. Ribble, Herbert Ribble Jr. and Arthur Ribble. Friends may call at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull on Friday, May 31 from 6-8 PM and again on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Elk Creek Cemetery, Town of Woodhull. Service: Saturday, June 1, 2013 1:00 PM H.P. Smith & Son Inc.
