Obituary of Simonne H. McFall

Simonne H. McFall, 82, of 2914 Cty. Rte. 84, Troupsburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira following a brief illness. Born in Drummondville, Quebec on January 4, 1929, Simonne was the daughter of the late Cyprien and Yvonne Morrissette Hebert. She graduated from the local schools in Drummondville and then attended the Ellis Business College there. She was the owner - operator of the Hotel Deliri in Plattsburg, NY for over 27 years. On April 16, 1965, Simonne and Roy J. McFall were married in Plattsburg. They moved to Troupsburg many years ago and made their home near Roy's childhood home. Roy preceded her in death on August 23, 1984. She was also predeceased by her son in law, Joseph Martineau. After moving to Troupsburg, Simonne attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rexville. She also served for a short period as an assessor for the Town of Troupsburg and was a long time member of the North Fork Grange. She truly enjoyed her daytime Soaps along with a little VO. Simonne was a long time Avon sales representative, representing them for over 30 years. Surviving are her son, Roy (Donna) McFall Jr. of Troupsburg, her daughters, Rita (Larry) Favreau of Escondito, Calif., Linda (Charles) Willis of Hudson Falls, NY and Diane Martineau of Peru, NY, 8 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, her sister, Henrietta Mastic of Peru, NY and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, December 2, 2001 from 6-9 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Saturday at 2:00 PM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Brookfield Cemetery, Brookfield, Pa.
