Obituary of Doris June Boulio Converse

Doris "June" Boulio Converse, 92, late of Troupsburg, passed in her sleep on Monday, July 29, 2013 at her eldest son's home in Hornell, NY. June was born in Brookfield, PA on Oct. 19, 1920, the daughter of Rube H. and Ruth C. Parker Boulio. She attended and graduated from Westfield High School. June was a veteran of World War II. As a member of the W.A.C. she was stationed in Washington, D.C. and worked in the Aerial Reconnaissance and Intelligence unit there. She was employed in several different fields through her life and retired from the Bath VA Medical Center as a nurse's aid. June was a member of the Troupsburg Baptist Church and was a former member and EMT of the Troupsburg Ambulance Corp. June married her husband of 49 years, the late Stanley H. Converse, in 1944. Stan died on Oct. 31, 1992 She is survived by her sons, Victor (Theresa) Converse, Stan Lee Converse and Nathan (Kimberly) Converse, her daughters, Cathrine (Donald) Osberg and Carolyn (Larry) Baker, 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her sister, Ida Ruth Bauer and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, June was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Boulio and Ralph Boulio and her sister, Betty Jean Smith. June was a true Christian with an unyielding faith in God and her Savior. She had no fear of death and in later years was heard to say "I'm tired and when the Lord comes to take me Home, I'm ready to go with Him. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 6-8 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be conducted there on Sunday at 2 PM with Rev. Larry Adee officiating. She will be interred at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Troupsburg, NY. Memorials are requested for the Troupsburg Fire Dept. and Ambulance Corp. Service: Sunday, August 4, 2013 2:00 PM H.P. Smith & Son Inc.
