Obituary of Linda Whitehead Walker

Addison | Linda Whitehead Walker, 62, of West Front St. Addison, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. Linda was born in Olean, NY on Dec. 3, 1950, the daughter of the late Donald and Betty Cronk Whitehead. Her family moved to Woodhull when she was young and she attended the Woodhull Union Free School. She has worn many hats in her life. Linda worked for several years for Corning Glass Works, operated the former Hitching Post Restaurant in Addison and the last several years had been a realtor, most recently working as an agent for over 10 years for Realty USA in Corning. A very loving Mother, she also enjoyed outdoors activities, especially camping and watching family members race at local go cart tracks. Linda was a very talented cook and baker, often baking cakes for any occasions. On June 15 of this year, Linda and Mark Crane were married at the Pinnacle State Park in Addison. Surviving are her husband Mark Crane of Addison, son, Neil Davis of Troupsburg, daughter, Nicole Graham of Painted Post, step daughters, Jessica Crane of Corning and Marissa Crane of Addison, step son, Mark Crane Jr. of Florida, 5 grandchildren, brothers, Donald (Sharon) Whitehead of Jasper, David Khim (Denny) Whitehead of Fairborn, OH, Daniel (Patty) Whitehead of Enon, Ohio and Randy (Teri) Whitehead of Elkland, Pa., step mother, Mickey Whitehead of Olean, step sister, Michelle Nolder of Olean, mother in law Janet Arnold, father in law, Tom (Debbie) Crane, brothers in law, Tim (Dawn) Crane, Scott (Jennifer) Hicks and Tadd (Cloey) Crane, close cousin, Sue Hibbard and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Linda's son Eddie Davis preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 16 at 11 AM at the Woodhull Cemetery Chapel, Woodhull, NY. Rev. David Scrimshaw will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodhull Cemetery.
