Obituary of David G. Price

CANISTEO: David G. Price, 49, of Dunning Rd. passed away Saturday (March 8, 2014) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident in the Town of West Union. David was born June 16, 1964 in Hornell to John H. and Elizabeth A. ( Birch) Price. On June 20, 1987 in Canisteo he married the former Dawn Rinaldi who survives and resides in Canisteo. David was a graduate of Canisteo Central School class of 1982. He graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in electronics and was an electrical apprentice with IBEW for 5 years after which he worked as a union electrician with Local #139 of Elmira. He was an avid NASCAR fan favoring Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. David enjoyed the company of his family and friends, whether it was playing horseshoes, spending time in Myrtle Beach which he truly loved or just hanging out at home. David is survived by his wife Dawn Price of Canisteo, son: Michael Price of Canisteo, his father: John (Mary Jo) Price and mother: Elizabeth "Betty" (Richard) White all of Canisteo, a brother, Michael Price of Canisteo and a sister: Dawn (Randy) Hurd of Hornell. David is also survived by two step-sisters: Amber Price of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Jenetta Price of San Francisco, CA. and his close friend Mario Puorro and family of Canisteo and friend Kim Berg of Hornell. There will be no prior calling hrs. or service. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of David's life Saturday, March 22, at 1:00 PM at the Hornell Association on the Broadway Mall in Hornell. Memorial contributions in David's name may be made to the Hornell Area Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Rd.
