Jasper, NY | Lea L. Delill, 82, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at McAuley Manor in North Hornell where she had resided since February 2014. Lea was born in Jerusalem, NY on June 4, 1931 to Lloyd and Iva Ellsworth Payne. On Nov. 10, 1951 she married Thomas J. Delill who predeceased her on Feb. 7, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Karlee Delill Watson on Aug. 14, 2007, her son Stanley R. Delill on Aug. 5, 2007, her parents, her sister Dale Payne Styles and her brother Lloyd Payne. Lea graduated from Jasper Central School and retired from there after working many years as a cleaner. She was a loving and caring Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed gardening until unable to do so and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lea always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria Hardy (Bill Taft) of Woodhull, Gwendolyn (Donald) Reisman of Jasper and Priscilla (Bob) Conklin of Jasper, her sons, Kriss Delill of Woodhull, Phillip (Peg Hanbach) Delill of Phoenix, AZ, Shawn (Lillian Whitesell) Delill of Rexville, NY and Antoine (Tracy Wood) Delill of Hornell, her son in law, Ted Watson and her daughter in law, Brenda Dole. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive fiends on Monday, May 5 from 5-7 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 7 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Jasper Cemetery.
