Cameron Mills, NY | Barry T. Hoad, 69, of Pump Station Road, Cameron Mills, NY died at home on Friday, July 11, 2014. Barry was born in Bath on December 22, 1944, the son of the late Cloyse and Phyllis Campbell Hoad. He and the former Deborah Hargrave were married on June 10, 1978 at the Risingville Methodist Church. Barry was a talented welder, retiring from Bombardier in Kanona but had also been employed by TTA in Kanona, Alstom and Morrison Knudsen in Hornell, Clark Specialty and Mercury Aircraft. He also had worked as a truck driver when younger. An avid hunter and stock car racer, he was a life member of the Savona Rod & Gun Club and was a former member of the Cameron Fire Department. Barry and Deb had attended the Risingville church. He was a skilled carpenter and was a great bird watcher. Barry loved Louis L'Amour books and was an International tractor buff. Besides his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brothers, Allan Hoad and Rex Hoad and his sister, Zoanne Adams. Surviving are his wife, Deborah Hoad at home, his children, Nadine (Rick) Finall of King George, VA, Barry T. Hoad II ( Anne Fisk) of Rathbone, Lucas (Heather) Hoad of Elmira, Danl (Cora) Hoad of Bath, Stephanie (Scott) Andrews of Bath, Shannon (John) Covert of Cameron Mills, James Seeley (Mindy Hyer) of Addison, Melissa (Scott) Colwell of Addison, Benton (Cassandra) Hoad of Savona and Elizabeth (Richard) VanZile of Painted Post, 36 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, with 3 more coming, his brothers, Cloyse (Etta) Hoad of Prattsburgh, Darrell (Carol) Hoad of Cameron Mills, Royce Hoad (Kathy Lyon) of Cameron, Greg (Sandy) Hoad of Bath, James (Tammy) Hoad of Cameron Mills and Jay (Lorraine) Hoad of Cameron Mills, his sisters, Susan Hadley of Avoca and Gloria Moran of Bath, his mother in law who made her home with Barry & Deb, Gladys Hargrave and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 15 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY.
