Addison, NY | Georgia A. Chartrand, 66, of Addison Back Road, Addison, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Corning Hospital following a long illness. Georgia was born in Corning, NY on January 25, 1948, the daughter of George A. and Doris I. Miles Bliss. She was a homemaker. Georgia had resided in Texas for 23 years before returning in 2004 to live with her Mother at the onset of her poor health. She was preceded in death by her father, George A. Bliss Sr. on March 2, 1997 and her grandson, Donald. Surviving is her daughter, Joy Lynn (David) Chambers of Archer City, Texas, her step daughter, Molly Freely of Lindley, 5 grandchildren, her mother, Doris Bliss of Addison, her sister, Awilda "Wink" Bliss of Lauderdale, Mississippi, her brothers, George A. Bliss Jr. (John Kernan) of Bath and Scott (Pam) Bliss of Addison, her dear friend from Three Rivers, Diane Phillips and 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Following Georgia's wishes, there will be no services. Her ashes will be buried on her parents' lot in Woodhull Cemetery.
