Obituary of Janice M. Coots

CAMERON MILLS: Janice M. Coots, 78, of Cty. Rte. 119 passed away Wednesday (Oct. 22, 2014) at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. following and extended illness. Janice was born April 15, 1936 in Muncy, Pa. to Wilbur and Lilly (Klinger) Deihl. On December 7, 1963 she married Archie Coots who predeceased her in June of 1992. In addition to her husband and parents she was also predeceased by a sister Grace Deihl and a brother Wilbur Deihl. Janice lived for many years in the Cameron Mills area. She was a home maker; mother and grandmother who loved to bake, sew, and embroider. She was also an avid reader of many books, but was especially fond of the time spent with family and friends especially her beloved grandchildren. Survivors include three sons: Donald Coots of Howard, David Coots of Cameron Mills and Dwight Coots of Palmyra. Her grandchildren: Cameron Coots, Trevor Coots, Jena Coots and Jacob Coots. Janice is also survived by three brothers: Grant and Samuel Deihl of South Williamsport, Pa., Jonathan Deihl of Texas, a sister Marcella Deihl of Williamsport, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Monday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo where a memorial service will take place immediately following calling hrs. at 3 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
