Obituary of Elaine Ruth Druetto

WELLSVILLE: Elaine Ruth Druetto, 84, formerly of Standards Rd. passed away Wednesday (Nov. 5, 2014) in Charlotte, N.C. following an extended illness. Elaine was born August 29, 1930 in Greenwood, the daughter of Merle and Mable (York) Greene. On December 19, 1964, in Greenwood, she married Francis "Frank" Druetto who predeceased her in October of 2002. She was also predeceased by a brother Burdette Greene in February of 1994 She had lived for many years in Standards and owned and operated the former Druetto's Grocery Store in Greenwood. Elaine is survived by two daughters: Valencia (Tommy) York of Charlotte, N.C. and Gina (Kim) Fortson of Atlanta, GA. 5 grand children: Jason York, Joshua York, Adrienne Ames, Ashton and Alex Fortson, 6 great grand children: Jacob York, Caleb York, Jada York, Samuel York, Eli York and Gabriella Ames. Elaine is also survived by two sisters: Eleanor Shelley of Victor and Kathleen (Karl) Crittenden of Greenwood, one brother; Thomas (Nancy) Greene of Andover, several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to calling hrs. from 1-2 pm Tuesday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo, where a memorial service will take place immediately following calling hrs. at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, N.Y.
