Obituary of Sandra J. Harris

Sandra J. Harris, 70, of County Route 100, Woodhull, NY, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Born on June 2, 1944 in Rathbone, NY, Sandy was the daughter of the late Charles Samuel and Pearl Bartholf Fowler. On February 17, 1962, she and Henry E. Harris were married at the First Presbyterian Church of Addison. Henry survives. Sandy graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing program at BOCES and worked for over 16 years at Founders Pavilion in Corning as an LPN She was also the homemaker for her family as well as assisting with the operation of the family farm. Sandy was a devoted wife and mother and she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished the time spent with her family. Besides her husband Henry, Sandy is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Melody) Harris of Woodhull, her daughters, Nancy Dickson of Cameron Mills and Tammy (Richard) Stewart of Addison, her grandchildren, Trevor Harris, Makenna Harris, Benjamin Harris, Julie (Thomas) Reagan, Joseph (Ashley) Dickson, Joshua Stewart (Brittany Trappler) and Jenelle Stewart, her great grandchildren, Levi, Landon, Jadyn, Jamilyn, Zachary and Matthew, who is nearly ready to greet the world, her brother, John Fowler of Colorado, her lifelong friend, Janice Eggleston of Addison, her sister in law, Shirley Harris of Addison and niece and nephew, Shirley Louise Harris, JJ Fowler and David Harris. She was preceded in death by her son in law, Kenneth Dickson Jr. Friends may call on Friday, December 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be conducted there on Saturday at 11 AM. Burial will be made in Woodhull Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to assist with funeral expenses. A special need account has been established at Corning Federal Credit Union, account no. 101340-0004 with name Stewart on account.
