Jasper, NY | On Dec. 10, 2014, Juanita was reunited with her husband Blondy, son Bo, grandson Michael and brother Howard. She was 84. Juanita faced many health related obstacles but her strength pulled her through. She was never one to complain. Juanita was born April 6, 1930 in Jasper, the daughter of Alfred and Florence Drake Hadley. On March 16, 1948, she married Elwin G. "Blondy" Brugger. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2001. Besides being a homemaker, Juanita had been employed as a waitress at the former Grove Diner and also in the laundry department at Hornell Gardens. She had been a member of the former Woodhull Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed working in her flowers, crocheting and knitting. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, James and Elizabeth Brugger of Prattsburgh, her daughters and sons in law, Kathy and Steven Friends of Woodhull and Debbie and Michael Ray of Canisteo, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, her sisters, Lois Potter of Avoca and Madeline Doan of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday, December 14 from noon to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Juanita's funeral and committal services will be held there at 2 PM. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Juanita's name may be made to the United Church of Jasper. Service: Sunday, December 14, 2014 2:00 PM H.P. Smith & Son Inc.
