During the 1970's, I had the privilege of working with Mary Lou in the dining hall and with the children at Odosagih Bible Conference. I learned so much from her guidance as we worked with the little ones together. She was a wonderful teacher and a great encourager. I enjoyed her company and have always been grateful for the lessons she taught me during those years together. May the Lord grant your hearts comfort.

We first met Mary Lou and Vinton at Odosagiah Bible Conference in the early 1970's. My mother, Izzie Bushart, and Mary Lou made fast friends through their teaching connection. when I worked on Staff at OBC she oversaw the dining hall and always made sure everyone felt welcome (even if she did have to control us rowdy teenagers once in a while with a loving word of correction! :) ) She was a special person who lived her faith and Loved her Lord. Grace and Peace.

Mary Lou was one of our first welcome to camp greeters, during CHC week at Odosagih. Mary Lou made sure our stay was enjoyable and pleasant. She was one of the reasons our family looked forward to coming back to camp each year. "May you find comfort, knowing a legacy continues in the memories we share, a bond deepens as we honor a life well lived, and healing begins as we trust a God of Hope." John 14:18 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

Mary Lou was such an integral part of the Christian Home Crusade group @ Odosagih. She always had a smile. We grew to love her and will miss her tremendously. May the Lord comfort you at this difficult time. Remember that Jesus Never Fails . . . Maranatha! Romans 8:37-39

I am proud to be named after Mrs. Wightman. I have so many fond memories of youth group and Bible quizzing at her house. She also introduced our family to Odosagih Bible Conference and the Buena Vista Wesleyan Church. I have many more fond memories of each of these places too. Knowing her enriched my life immensely. I am so sad for our loss but thrilled with her gain.

What a great lady, who I was happy to have as a friend. Whenever I would see her, we would have great talks. I remember her coming to both our Lincoln School reunions and how great it was to have her there! My sister had her as a teacher in 2nd grade at Lincoln School, then she moved to teaching Kdg. My sister and Polly were great friends throughout the years. Last time I saw her was at McAuley Manor a year ago...RIP Mrs Wightman....
