LOCKPORT/CANISTEO: Marjorie "Marge" Magee, 89, formerly of Canisteo passed away Saturday (March 28, 2015) at the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Nursing Home in Lockport, N.Y. Marge was born July 28, 1925 in Hornby to Lorenzo and Nellie (Richardson) Wainwright. On November 4, 1946 in Buffalo she married Douglas S. Magee who predeceased her in November of 1986. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Mindy Felicita in June of 2005. Marge was a lifelong resident of the Canisteo area where she was a cafeteria cook for many years at the Canisteo Elementary School retiring in 1987. Marge was an active member of the Canisteo, Buena Vista, and Victory Highway Wesleyan churches serving as Sunday School Superintendent in Canisteo and as Sunday school teacher in each. She was also the head cook for a number of years at the Wesleyan church camp in Chambers, NY. Prior to her stay at the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Nursing Home, she had resided at the Briarwood Manor Home in Lockport moving from Canisteo in 2013. Survivors include: her daughter: Georgia (Clifton) Wright of Canisteo and her son; Douglas (Karen) Magee of Lockport. Her grandchildren: Suzanne Wright, Toni (James) Stevens-Oliver, Tanya Nicole Stevens, James (Bethany) Felicita, and Alyssa (Joshua) Magee-Lowery, great-grandchildren: Brady Stevens-Oliver, Marcella Stevens-Oliver, Katherine Stevens, Carly Felicita, and Austin Felicita, She is also survived by one brother: Louis (Betty) Wainwright. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Wednesday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo where funeral and committal services will take place immediately following calling hrs. at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery, Coopers Plains, N.Y.. Memorial contributions in Marjorie Magee's name may be made to the Buena Vista Wesleyan Church, 6034 Cty. Rte. 69, Canisteo, N.Y. 14823.��
