Obituary of Trinidad R. Mullen

Trinidad "Nenet" R. Mullen, 80, of Cty. Rte. 21, Addison, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Born in Leyte, Philippines on February 26, 1935, she was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Monico Raagas. She met an American merchant marine by the name of Loren W. "Corky" Brown. They married on February 26, 1968. Corky preceded her in death on April 15, 1990. She relocated to the United States and they made their home in Indiana for a period of time. They then moved to New York where Nenet went to work for the former Ann Page Food Plant in Horseheads until its closing. She was employed at Farcus Fur, a tannery in Adrian, NY and eventually worked as a line worker at the Corning Inc. Erwin Plant where she retired in 1997. On June 6, 1996, she married Edwin Mullen in Woodhull. Ed survives. Nenet was well known for operating an ice cream truck in the area for several years. No kid ever went without a treat, money or not. She was always on the go, playing bingo, traveling, visiting casinos in the region, dancing, fishing and tending to her garden. She is survived by her husband Ed Mullen of Addison, her sons, Loren W. (Grace) Brown Jr. of Addison, Edwardo Raagas, Ernesto Raagas and Jose Raagas, all of Leyte, Philippines, grandchildren, Austin James Brown and Loren W. Brown III, both of Addison along with numerous others in the Philippines, her sister Inday and husband Bentoy of the Philippines, her sister in law, Phyllis (Jim) Deming of Lindley and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 7-9 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be conducted there on Saturday at 11 AM.
