Charles Shauf, 81, of Mutton Hill Road, Addison (Town of Woodhull), passed away at home on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born in Everett, PA on May 22, 1934, the son of the late William and Fannie (Meck) Shauf. On Sept. 26, 1953, he and the former Ethel Brimmer were married in Chambersburg, PA. Ethel survives. Charles was a long time employee of Federal Stamping in Rochester, NY where he retired as a foremen. He also operated a dairy farm in Troupsburg. He was an avid hunter and wildlife photographer and loved living on top of his hill in Woodhull. Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Shauf at home, his children, Charles Shauf of Addison, Dianne Benton of Troupsburg, Thomas (Clarice) Shauf of Addison, Brenda Space (Mark Stephens) of Jasper and Scott Shauf of Addison, his grandchildren, Andrew (Linda) Benton, Amie Space, Jason (Ashley) Shauf, Christina Benton, Adam Space and Ashley (Neil) Charlton, his great grandchildren, Cortland, William, Zachary, Logan and Bryce and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday, June 22 from noon to 2 PM at the Woodhull Cemetery Chapel. Funeral services will follow there at 2 PM with Rev. Robert Goodrich officiating.
