Obituary of Winifred E. Tucker

Addison, NY | Winifred E. Tucker, 93, of County Route 85, Addison, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Taylor Health Care Facility in Bath. Winnie was born in Bradford, NY on Oct. 12, 1921, the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Louy) Horton. Raised in Bradford, she was a graduate of Bradford High School. After high school, she married Raymond C. Tucker. They operated the family farm together in Tuscarora until their retirement. After retiring they moved to Florida. There, she and Ray owned and operated a lawn maintenance business as well as Winnie working for an orange juice processing plant. She also was employed there for a period in home health care. Ray preceded her in death on Mar. 30, 1993. Also Winnie was predeceased by her son James Tucker on Jan. 30, 2010, her granddaughter Barbara Freligh on Aug. 16, 2011 and her siblings Hiram Randall, Alonzo Randall, Mary Randall, Albert Randall, Fred Randall, William Horton, Winston Horton, Dewaine Horton, Mabel Horton, Catherine Horton and Clifford Horton. Surviving are her son, Larry Tucker (Micheline Seeley) of Addison, her daughter in law, Sharon Tucker of Palmyra, VA, her grandchildren, Beth Warren of Painted Post, Brad Tucker (Virginia Cook) of Addison, Billy (Karen) Tucker of Addison, Brandie (Grant) Sherman of South Dakota, Bryan Tucker of Addison, Brett Tucker (LaRenda Smith) of Addison, Berry (Kathy) Tucker of Osceola, PA, James (Ruth) Tucker of Virginia and Scott Tucker of Texas, 12 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, her brother, Clarence Horton of Monterey, NY and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 9 at 11 AM at Addison Hill Cemetery, Tuscarora, NY with Rev.
