Obituary of Terry L. O'Dell

��CANISTEO: Terry L. O'Dell, 54, of Ste. Rte. 36 passed away Thursday (July 23, 2015) at the Fred and Harriett Taylor Health Care Facility in Bath where she had resided since February following an extended illness. Terry was born October 9, 1960 in Hornell to Lester and Janice (Campbell) Erskine. On May 8, 1976 she married William O'Dell who survives and resides in Canisteo. Terry was a graduate of Canisteo Central School and was a member of the West Jasper Wesleyan Church where she had taught Sunday school. Terry loved to make and sell crafts and loved to fish with family and friends. She also was a very passionate gardener. Terry is survived by her husband William O'Dell of Canisteo, three daughters Rosalie (Mark) Cline of Canisteo, Susanne O'Dell of Titusville, Pa., Stacey O'Dell of Canisteo, and one son Shawn O'Dell of Canisteo. Three grandchildren: Alicia and Julie Cline, Caleb O'Dell-Oriend, she is also survived by her parents: Lester and Janice Erskine of Canisteo, two brothers David (Sharon) Erskine of Jasper, William (Gail) Erskine of Williston, VT; two sisters: Karen (James) McGlynn and Kathy (John) Townsend all of Bath as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-8 pm Monday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main Street in Canisteo, NY where funeral and committal services will be held immediately following calling hrs. at 8 pm. Burial will be in the Gulley Cemetery, Town of Jasper.
