Obituary of Alberta L. Aulin

Alberta L. Aulin, 81, of Emeritus Senior Living Center, Creekside Drive in Painted Post, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at her residence. Born in Woodhull, NY on May 2, 1930, Alberta was the daughter of Roger H. and Ella R. Colegrove Towsley. She grew up in Woodhull and graduated from the Woodhull High School in 1947. On May 19, 1951, she married Roy I. Aulin. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1992. Alberta was a retiree of Corning Inc. where she had worked at various area Corning plants over her years that she was employed by them. She was a former member of the Ladies of the Moose at the Corning Moose Lodge as well as a former member of the Corning OES Chapter. Alberta was also very active with the Corning Senior Center and was a member of the "Granny Dancers", an entertainment group comprised of her and other senior ladies. Surviving Alberta are her son and daughter in law, Bradley and Linda Aulin of Painted Post, her daughter, Kathy Cleveland (Blaine Chambers) of Painted Post, her grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer and Lindsy Aulin and Timothy Dewolf, her great granddaughter, Taunie, her brothers, Chester Towsley and Ronald Towsley, both of Woodhull, Robert (Phyllis) Towsley of Addison and James (Diane) Towsley of Florida, her sisters, Viola (Duane) Stewart of Woodhull and Sharon Towsley of Statesville, NC as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday, March 4 from 1-3 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.Burial will be made on Monday in Woodhull Cemetery.
